| Saturday I woke up to the sound of Hubby returning home from shopping, and telling someone on the phone, "I was just in an accident and my car it totalled." After stopping at an all way stop, he'd taken his turn to go on thru, but a lady blew through her stopsign. Both airbags deployed, and his car was spun thru the intersection and against a utility pole. The passenger side front quarter panel was very munched, front bumper knocked off, front windshield cracked, passenger door inoperable . . . No one was hurt! other than shell shocked. The other driver, insured, lives in our neighborhood, was just distracted. We are driving a rental, 2007 Chevy Aveo( sorta like a shortened potato bug). We're still in the process, but will soon be getting a different car or two. So glad hubby is fine--the rest is just stuff. Hmmmm, Hubby was talking to God recently about his desire for a car, somehow. | | |
| Sydnie Diane Notter arrived to Joe and Kristine Diane at 7:45 Mountain Time last night. She has dark hair, Notter nose, Kristine mouth, strong lungs. All are well. We will hold her September 1st, and love her already. Wish we were there. | | |
| I hear that we're going to have a granddaughter within a few weeks. I've been noticing so many sweet pink baby things. I even "borrowed" a pink tulle-decorated bubbles ( wedding doodad) from Great Grandma B's, and keep it at eye level near the mirror. I keep seeing newborn soft sockies at my work, but they are too dusty for a granddaughter. Great aunties and I have nearly completed a flannel quilt for her, with angels all over it. We have our flight reservations set, and are planning what to pack, and how to pack the lovingly made baby gifts from family. We anxiously check for new e-mail or phone messages.
Lamaze classes are completed. Strange pangs are happening.
But really, is this actually going to happen? It's not possible! The last time we saw precious kdn, she didn't have a bun in the oven, we don't think so! We haven't hugged a carefully cultivated baby bump. We haven't been in the nursery except by the mysterious internet. We weren't nauseous, or ravenous, either.
We'll go to investigate this thoroughly so very soon now. The phone will ring
The evidence will prove all, when I cradle her in my arms, amazed, praising God. | | |
| To blow my own horn, perchance to have it reverberate back to me with added harmonies.
As this is a new instument to me, as I practice and improve my tone and use of keys and ombroucher(sp), I request your suggestions and comments.
I played baritone, tuba, and sousaphone in school bands, hence my name.
This stage in life finds me playing piano for a convalescent home, by ear and by note.
I am looking forward to the birth of our first grandaughter in a couple months, and with my sisters, I am working on a quilt for her.
I greatly enjoy our son's blogs about the growth of his daughter, and his feelings and questions about fatherhood. He and his wife live far away, so we aren't able to physically experience this with them.
Daughter and husband live locally, and she teaches junior high school.
Proud mommy, I am. | | |
